Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

This September, I have the opportunity to travel to Moldova with a small team from my church to support our partner church in Ungheni and the communities they serve.

Moldova is one of Europe’s poorest countries, and many families are facing incredibly difficult circumstances. In rural communities, some people live without reliable access to essentials that many of us take for granted, including running water, electricity and enough food. The ongoing war in neighbouring Ukraine has also placed additional pressure on a country already facing significant poverty, as Moldova has welcomed large numbers of Ukrainian refugees.

Our trip is about practical support, friendship and hope.

We will be visiting villages and families experiencing extreme poverty, delivering food parcels and spending time with people who can often feel forgotten and isolated. Rather than simply dropping off supplies, we want to listen to people, build relationships and remind them that their lives matter.

We will also be helping our partner church run a youth event in Ungheni and spend time serving alongside the local church, helping with their Sunday service and supporting their wider work in the community.

For me, this trip is an opportunity to put my faith into action. I believe that love is most meaningful when it becomes practical, when it looks like showing up and standing alongside people who are struggling.

Your donation will help make that practical support possible. Every contribution, however small, will help us provide food, support local ministry and enable us to come alongside some of the most vulnerable people in these communities.

You don't need to share my faith to support this fundraiser. If you simply believe that people facing poverty deserve to be cared for, encouraged and treated with dignity, I would be incredibly grateful for your support.

Thank you for helping me take a little bit of hope with me to Moldova.
