Story
So.. I'm actually going through with it - I'm throwing myself out of a plane even though I'm not the biggest fan of flying.. Yep, you read that right and yep, Tom would be laughing hysterically at how nervous I am, I'm sure of it.
On Saturday 22nd February 2025, just under a week before Toms 27th birthday - I have decided to push myself way out of my comfort zone and do my first ever skydive in his memory. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Tom can testify how he lit up any room he walked in (without even having to say a word!), as his infectious and bubbly personality was simply impossible not to smile at.
Losing Tom on the 27th July 2019 was very very unexpected. After a long, tough fight from his incredible family to get answers, this is where CRY comes in.
I'm hoping by doing this, I can not only raise some money to donate to this incredible charity but also help spread awareness about CRY and the important work they do. Unfortunately, this won't bring Tom back, but by raising awareness, we can work together to prevent others from going through the same heartbreaking loss.
Any donations would be deeply appreciated, but even just sharing this would mean the world to help keep raising awareness for CRY.
I hope I'm making you proud, T.
Here's to continuing to keep Tom's memory alive. ❤️
To find out more about CRY, read below -
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
