Story
Reggie and I will be running the cliff top challenge this year to raise money for Breast cancer now. Reggie will be running 5 miles and I will run 15 miles.
Reggie is only 8 months post major knee surgery, in which we had no idea on the outcome due to him having been a very rare case that hadn’t been seen before. Reggie was seen at St George’s hospital London due to the nature of his condition. Reggie has no knee grooves in either knee so therefore his knee caps don’t track correctly. He is also hyper mobile and so therefore his knee ruptured one day, making his knee cap disappear around the side of his leg every time he bent it. He also had no pain with this which is very odd. Reggie's leg continued to get weaker and therefore the surgeons decided to try and reconstruct his leg.
After a very long and painful time the operation was successful but there is always the risk it may go again or the other knee may go too. Even though there are risks involved Reggie continues to drive towards doing the sports he loves and challenge himself with new things.
