Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have always been deeply passionate about mental health, and I’ve faced numerous struggles related to it throughout my life.

A few of you know I lost my daddy suddenly and I came to the Koram Centre for someone to talk to professionally but after a few sessions the funding wasn't there to help me or my family in the way that it would have liked to.

I have recently had a baby boy and suffered significant post natal depression and during covid I also went into depression but each time the NZ Health system provided me with a psychologist to help me through my dark times and seek hope.

I have been heartbroken at how many young people my home town has lost through suicide. There is such a stigma around mental health and I would love to be able to help people gain access to professionals who can provide guidance and support where they need it through the Koram Centre. Every little will help and you never know whose life could be saved because of it.

I have decided to run a half marathon in November this year to raise money and awareness around the mental health problem that is increasing significantly back home and hope that in some way I can help young people in Strabane.

Lets speak up and talk about how we feel. That truly takes courage and strength <3 YOU ARE NEVER ALONE XX
