Megan Brown is raising money for Hundred Families
In memory of Harley Watson

3 Peaks Challenge · 16 May 2026

We support and advocate for families across the UK who have all lost loved ones as a result of killings by people with mental illness. We work with the NHS and others to prevent further avoidable tragedies. And we provide evidence, training, and resources to influence change.

Story

Please join us to raise money for Hundred Families.

Sadly around 100 families a year will have a loved one killed by someone with mental illness.

When 12 year old Harley Watson tragically lost his life outside his school in Loughton, Julian Hendy, The founder of Hundred Families, directly supported Harley’s parents in the aftermath of them losing their son.

Hundred Families are the only charity that support and advocate for families across the UK who have all lost loved ones as a result of killings by people with mental illness, with 0% government funding. They work with the criminal justice system, NHS and others to prevent further avoidable tragedies. They also provide evidence, training, and resources to influence change. There are circa 600 homicides a year and 20% are mental health homicides. That’s 1 in 5!
