Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! 💗
Neasa, Ona, Norhan, Catherine, & I from Queen’s University Belfast Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society are taking on the Belfast City Marathon Relay, alongside Abi, who will be running the entire 42km marathon solo (!).
We're incredibly passionate about supporting the important work of Target Ovarian Cancer, which is why we're delighted to be fundraising for this fantastic charity for the third consecutive year!
As medical students at different stages of our training, we see first-hand the vital role that research, early diagnosis, patient and family education, and dedicated support organisations play in improving patient outcomes. We're proud to support Target Ovarian Cancer in continuing its groundbreaking work to improve the lives of everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cancer is often diagnosed at a later stage, when treatment can be more challenging. Raising awareness of the symptoms and encouraging people to seek medical advice promptly are essential steps towards earlier diagnosis and better outcomes.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference:
- £17 could help fund support line assistance for someone seeking trusted advice and information.
- £50 could help 50 people learn about the symptoms of ovarian cancer through Target Ovarian Cancer’s information leaflets.
- £250 could fund a day of vital research, helping advance the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer for women today and in the future.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donation! Every contribution helps Target Ovarian Cancer continue its vital work in raising awareness, supporting those affected by ovarian cancer, and driving research forward.
Thank you so much for your generosity, kindness and support. It means so much to have you behind us as we take on this challenge for such an important cause!
Thank YOU for helping us make a difference! 💗
