As a Catholic headteacher, CAFOD’s mission is something that sits at the heart of both my faith and school life. Every day, I see the importance of community, compassion and standing alongside those who need support most.

At school, our children learn about dignity, justice and helping others through our work with CAFOD, and I’ve seen first-hand how passionate young people can be about making a difference in the world.

Running the Great North Run is my way of putting those values into action beyond the classroom: raising money to support communities across the world and helping to create hope, opportunity and change for others. Every donation, no matter how small, really will make a difference.
