Story
In April 2026, we will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Me and Olivia definitely aren’t runners but taking on the challenge.
We are fundraising for SUDC UK in loving memory of our best friends’ beautiful two-year-old Arlo who passed away unexpectedly in August 2023. Their loss has left a space that words can’t be filled.
Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is devastating and still so little understood; many families face it with few answers and little support.
Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is the heartbreaking and unexplained loss of a child aged 1–18 years. The charity fund and coordinate vital medical research aimed at understanding why these deaths happen and, ultimately, making SUDC predictable and preventable; since their founding they have funded hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of research grants and collaborated with global research projects to collect and analyse cases across the world.
SUDC UK provides emotional and practical support to bereaved families, connecting them with expert help, guidance through complex post-death investigations, and with other families who truly understand the pain of losing a child with no explanation. They also work to improve awareness among healthcare professionals and the public, so that SUDC is recognised, understood, and given the attention it needs.
Thank you in advance for all your donations, Arlo this one’s for you 💙
