Megan's fundraiser for Scleroderma & Raynaud's UK (SRUK)

National Three Peaks Challenge 2024 · 30 August 2024 ·
On the 31st of August 2024 I will be hoping to complete the National Three Peaks challenge within 24 hours.
I will be raising money for Scleroderma & Raynaud's who are the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by these conditions.
Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease which means the body's natural immune system becomes overactive and attacks healthy tissue. There's currently no cure, but there are various therapies and medical treatments available. These can reduce the impact of the disease and slow its progression.
Raynaud's is a common condition where the small blood vessels in the fingers or toes become restricted when they're exposed to the cold.
There are two types of Raynaud's primary and secondary. Secondary is more severe and affects a small percentage of people, it is likely to be caused by an underlying autoimmune condition such as scleroderma.
The charity exists to improve awareness and understanding of these conditions, to support those affected, and ultimately to find a cure.
