I am raising money for Diabetes UK on behalf of my niece Maya, who was diagnosed with Type 1 at 3 years old in November 2025. She's been an absolute trooper throughout what has been a really scary and uncertain time during her hospital stay and now adjusting to some really big life changes going forward. Diabetes means carb counting every meal time, multiple daily injections, constant glucose monitoring, and more – you never get a day off. Maya has somehow taken this all in her stride in a way that totally amazes me for someone so small.

My family and I wanted to do something to show Maya how proud we are of her, and to support the research which will help improve the daily lives of those like her trying to manage this condition, and maybe even one day find a cure. Any donation, big or small, would be very much appreciated!
