Megan and Tomos are taking part in the Alder Hey Summer Challenge that runs from July 18 to August 30. They aim to walk, run, cycle, or swim a total of 43 miles across the six-week school holidays to give something back to the hospital that has meant so much to our family.

In February 2024, Megan was diagnosed with leukaemia. After an incredibly challenging journey filled with strength, courage, and determination, she proudly rang the bell in March 2026 to mark the end of her treatment.

Throughout this journey, everyone at Alder Hey has been nothing short of amazing. The doctors, nurses, and support staff have provided outstanding care, compassion, and reassurance, not only for Megan but for our whole family. We will always be grateful for everything they have done.

By taking part in the Alder Hey Summer Challenge, Megan and Tomos hope to raise money to help Alder Hey continue providing the incredible care and support that changes the lives of so many children and their families.
