Megan's fundraiser for St John Ambulance

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
In 2019, I had knee reconstruction with the repair of a medial meniscal impingement and acl reconstruction through a hamstring graft. Along the long and sometimes painful road of physio and building the strength back, In 2022 I took up park run. Since this, I’ve completed 50+ park runs, multiple 10kms and most recently the addition of half marathons.
I’ve found myself in need of a challenge and the iconic London Marathon is what I have decided to take on.
I am fortunate to be able to do this in aid of St John Ambulance (SJA). I grew up with SJA, attending weekly for 14+ years, only leaving when I joined the Army and moved away. Through this experience, I learnt first aid and provided voluntary cover on weekends at local community events. The skills I learnt from a young age have become second nature to me and have helped when I have been passing medical incidents where I can support until further help arrives, including providing CPR and immediate cover from first on scene at motor vehicle accidents.
Please donate what you can and feel free to share the link for this page. I’m tasked with raising £2,000 (excluding gift aid) so every little will quite literally help!
