Story
We are the Mekong Maids and we are made up of 4 busy women who want to set ourselves the challenge of raising funds for Women V Cancer and to cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia
We need to raise a total of £14,100, which we are doing through a combination of donations and events.
Undertaking this challenge brings different pressures and fears for everyone in the team and it is going to seem like a Herculaneum effort to get to the start line of this cycle, after raising funds, getting fit, remembering how to ride a bike and organising family & work life while away before the actual challenge of cycling over 500km in hot and humid conditions.
The cycle challenge is arranged by Dream Challenges and you can find more information on the dream challenges website.
We thank everyone who contributes and will up date everyone with the total amount made by the Mekong Maids and full group of women who do the cycle challenge after the cycle in Dec 2024
Sonya Treen and Lizzie Jones took part in Women V Cancer cycle Kenya in Oct 2022 and at the end of the trip the group of 50 women had raised £250,000 which was donated to 3 cancer charities.
We hope our part in fund raising for the cycle challenge Vietnam to Cambodia results in such a big donation to the charities.
