24 Hour Spin Bike Challenge…
As a personal trainer, I regularly witness first hand just how important physical fitness can be for your mental health.
1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their life, with domestic abuse being one of the leading causes of depression for women in the UK.
I have always been extremely motivated to help with fundraising for a mental health charity, so on the back of watching and listening to my clients’ struggles, and following researching this subject with my wife, I’ve decided to support Woman’s Trust - a specialist domestic abuse mental health charity.
Keen to attempt something that will be a proper challenge (the most exercise I have ever done at once is a 70 minute game of hockey!) and something that will take me far beyond what I ever thought my body could handle, I settled on a 24 hour spin bike challenge.
With that in mind, I will be spinning away at PureGym Twickenham from 7am on Friday 30th June through to the same time on Saturday 1st July. 24 hours of spinning. If you find yourself nearby and can offer anything by way of support or distraction it would certainly be gratefully received. If you’re keen to hop onto the bike next to me for a stint or if you just happen to be passing on your way home from a night out and can dish out some positive energy, I would be so happy to see your face. Better yet, if you can spare some pennies (link in bio) to support me in this madness, to help support the many women who are struggling and suffering, I would be beyond grateful.
