Story
This August, I’ll be running a half marathon to raise money for Beaumond House Hospice Care, a charity that provides incredible support to patients and families across Newark and Sherwood.
This cause means a great deal to our family. My husband Adam’s nan, Pat Wyatt, was cared for by Beaumond House in her final days. The kindness, dignity and support they showed her, and all of us around her, is something we’ll always be deeply grateful for. It’s a place that has stayed with us ever since.
Beaumond House offers vital palliative care for people over 18 living with life-limiting conditions, supporting not just patients but their families too during the most difficult times. Their work is only possible because of the generosity of others. This year alone, it will cost £2.8 million to provide their services, with just 21% coming from statutory funding. That leaves a huge £2.2 million to be raised through donations, shops, and local support.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps them continue this essential work and be there for more families when they need it most.
Thank you so much for your support 💛
