Story
Hi All, as many of you will now be aware, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in late October 2022. Fortunately it was caught early (Grade 2) and following a mastectomy and temporary reconstruction in December 22, I had 3 months recovery/treatment and got the all clear in October 23. Last November I had a final reconstruction and I'm glad to report I'm fully recovered and back to full health. Like many, many people in my position, I really want to do something to raise money for cancer charities as a small way of saying thankyou for the absolutely fantastic service and treatment I was lucky enough to receive from the Oncology Team at Royal Devon & Exeter hospital. If you know me well you'll also know I do love a challenge so I've decided to join Women V Cancer doing a cycle ride from Vietnam to Cambodia in late November this year. The benefitting charities will be Breast Cancer Now, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action. My training is now well underway and thanks to the amazing guys at Pulse Gym where I train, I'm getting fitter by the week so please, please help me to reach my target by giving what you can. I'll post regular updates on my training - believe you me I cannot wait to get back to my old cycling fitness and go and do something useful with it!!!
