The Vigilance is an old sailing trawler with which my dad was involved for about 18 years. It gave him something to focus on after my mum's death, and he spent a lot of time as a voluntary crew member, on sailing trips and in reparation work. Sadly dad passed away in May of last year and so for my 60th birthday I thought it would be nice to raise money for Friends of the Vigilance as a charity close to my heart because of dad's involvement with it.
