Story
Thank you for visiting my page! I am equal parts nervous and super excited to be taking part in this event! I don't swim in a wetsuit* so this is definitely the biggest part of the challenge for me... The hat of dreams will also be coming along, important to always 'be safe, be seen' *need to get a wetsuit.
The RNLI are truly amazing, anyone who has ever seen them race out into the water, in any and all weather knows how important they are in keeping people safe at sea.
The RNLI Castle 2 Castle Swim is an iconic one-mile open water sea swim across the Carrick Roads. It starts at the headland below Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes on the beach below St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula.
This event raises money to support the RNLI's volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards. In 2024 the RNLI's marks its 200th anniversary and we expect it will be one of the busiest years in the RNLI's 200-year history, so with the charity relying on the public's voluntary donations every pound raised will help to save more lives around our coast.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I am very grateful for any donations received for this worthy cause.
