RCN England and Wales 1153487, Scotland SC046840
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

So here I go again!...On September the 13th I will be cycling from London to Bruges in Belgium in memory of beautiful Emma Elliott. Emma was just 49 years old when she passed away from a glioblastoma brain tumour.

Emma was not only a beautiful wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, friend and midwife she was also the definition of courageous.

I knew of Emma through my friend Melissa, Emma's best friend. Hearing her regular updates I was always in total awe how Emma continued to face life with such positivity, determination and courage as well as vowing to keep life as normal as possible whilst making beautiful memories, something that touched me so much and resonated so deeply.

For this very reason I vowed to take on a cycling challenge in her memory and raise much needed funds for Brain Tumour Research.

I will be accompanied by some amazing friends of mine and amazing friends of Emma's as we embark on our cycle across 3 countries to our beautiful destination of Bruges.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease which is just crazy!

Any donation will be appreciated more than you know, every penny will make a difference.

Thank you so much xx
