Sharon Smith – A charitable donation to celebrate her life.

‘Our Sharon’

After Sharon’s relatively short and unexpected illness, we have been saddened beyond measure to lose our dear sister. At just 60 years of age Sharon had so many plans and aspirations to do so much more but we can at least take some comfort in the manner in which she crammed so much into the very full life that she enjoyed and that we were able to share with her.

Sharon was only recently diagnosed with Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma, which is a rare and aggressive form of bowel and digestive tract cancer, so we feel that it is absolutely fitting that the charity we have chosen to support is Cancer Research UK.

As an organisation, Cancer Research UK extend the knowledge and understanding around the science of cancer and constantly strive in their research to develop ways to fight and ultimately defeat the disease, extending and saving the lives of cancer patients.
