Story
It is hard to believe it has been five years since we lost Graham ❣️
We are walking the Bridgathon for the third time, in Graham’s memory and to raise funds for Haematology Cancer Care who continue to provide incredible support to haematology patients and staff at University College Hospital in London.
HCC help fund such a wide range of projects and initiatives including medical research, high-tech medical equipment, free complementary therapy for patients and families and specialist education for nurses across five inpatient wards, day-care, ambulatory care and young adult and outpatient services. An amazing community spirit and still a great friendship support to myself all these years later.
We recently visited the incredible new haematology unit at UCLH, where Graham’s eye forms part of the wall art in the main reception, created by artist Dryden Goodwin. It’s an honour that he was included and definitely shows his legacy lives on to watch over and support patients and families moving forward.
Thank you to all friends and family who have already signed up to the walk on Sunday 10 September. Everyone is welcome to join this fun and relaxed day. We start off in Vauxhall Park as a group for the photo, and then splinter off, taking the walk at our own pace, with a picnic and a bit of a gin bar crawl along the way! Children and dogs welcome too!
Thank you in advance for any donations, even £1 will help us make a difference to this wonderful charity.
Thank you
