Story
“Every mile makes a difference. Every donation changes a life.”
Hi everyone — and thank you for visiting my page!
In June 2027, I’ll be cycling from Vienna to Prague: two countries, two capital cities, and over 300km powered by tired legs, determination, and a huge amount of encouragement (hopefully from you!).
Why am I doing it?
Because every week in the UK, children and young people are told they have cancer. Their lives are turned upside down — and so are the lives of their families. Young Lives vs Cancer steps in at the very moment everything feels impossible, providing financial, emotional and practical support when it’s needed most.
Cancer doesn’t wait.
Families don’t get a break.
But by supporting this challenge, you can help lighten the load.
I wanted to take on something that pushes me out of my comfort zone while helping young people facing something far tougher than a long bike ride.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, parents often have to give up work, travel miles for treatment, and face impossible decisions. Young Lives vs Cancer helps them stay afloat when the ground drops out from under them.
If cycling across Europe helps even one family feel less alone, it’s worth every hill.
This route will take me along the Danube, through beautiful countryside, across borders, and finally into the heart of Prague — a journey filled with early mornings, tired legs, and probably a lot of coffee and stubbornness.
It’s not easy.
But it’s meaningful.
And I’m determined to give it everything.
I’m asking you — friends, family, colleagues, and kind strangers — to please donate whatever you can.
Your contribution will help Young Lives vs Cancer provide:
✨ Specialist social workers
✨ Financial support for parents who must stop working
✨ Help with travel and accommodation during treatment
✨ Someone to turn to on the darkest days
Young Lives vs Cancer, help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
