Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems.

Truro Foodbank is a charity based in the Truro area and operating under the umbrella of the Trussell Trust. The project was founded by local churches and community groups , working together towards stopping hunger in our local area.

Their vision is not only to meet the immediate needs of those who are hungry by provision of food, but to address the causes of poverty by provision of advice and assistance.
