In March 2024, I will be joining 14 other women across the globe on a fully self-funded expedition with HER Planet Earth to the Gobi Desert to raise awareness for the work of The Nature Conservancy (TNC). TNC partners with Mongolian herd communities to support them in creating diverse income sources, generating economic opportunities, and building sustainable practices. This helps safeguard the balance of tradition, conservation, and growth efforts.

During the expedition, we will visit TNC's Mongolia HQ as well as conservation projects dedicated to environmental and community development. The challenging and awe-inspiring portion of the trip will take us through 4 days in the Gobi Desert riding Bactrian camels for 100KM, staying in Ger camps in the desert and attending the Thousand Camel Festival - all this in -20 degree weather.

The trip, if you know me, will very much take me out of my comfort zone but I look forward to expanding my horizons and testing myself. I promise to document as much of the trip through photos and videos on IG so you will (as much as possible) feel you are on the expedition with us :).
