45 squared

Melissa Biggerstaff is raising money for Mision Mexico

45 challenges, by my 45th birthday, raising £4.5k, for 45 kids.

Misión México Foundation aims to break the cycles of poverty, abuse and inequality for every child and youth that we care for. We've expanded into three homes, two community projects, and helped to transform the lives of hundreds of children and youth. Find out more at www.misionmexico.org

Story

I have a rule that I will not ask people to donate to Mision Mexico Foundation unless I am willing to either donate myself, or take part in a challenge.

So. To celebrate Giving Tuesday 2024, my birthday, and to mark 10 years of me being part of Mision Mexico Foundation, I have decided to embark on a 12 month long challenge. I will personally cover all challenge associated costs so 100% of your donations will go to Msiion Mexico Foundation and the kids.

What?

45 challenges that put me out of my comfort zone, where I have to be brave. To be completed by my 45th birthday (November 2025). To raise £4.5k. For the 45 kids who live with, or have lived with me.

Why?

Because the kids in my care are constantly having to overcome really difficult challenges to grow and heal. I am constantly telling our kids "you're so brave, you're so brave" and that we all need to push forward and face challenges, putting ourselves out of our comfort zone, face our fears and sometimes be vulnerable. So this is my way of showing my kiddos what challenges me and being publicly vulnerable.

How?

I will accept challenges you guys suggest, in exchange for donations! I also welcome people to join me on any challenge and help with the fundraising. My only no's are shaving my hair or running a marathon, but I am open to most other things.

Please donate! I’m so brave, I’m so brave 💪🏼
