Melissa's fundraiser for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

Hackney Half Marathon 2025 · 18 May 2025 ·
Hi everyone, I’m running the Hackney Half Marathon to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart ❤️
Since 2000, The Royal Marsden has been looking after my dad through his battle with throat cancer. He has undergone over 30 operations and procedures, and in 2022, the cancer returned for the third time and we faced the devastating prospect of a life-changing laryngectomy.
Just days before the surgery, we learned that the cancer had spread to his lungs. As you can imagine, It was a terrifying time, but thanks to the expert team and care of The Royal Marsden, the operation was no longer needed, and they have been able to keep the cancer under control. Today, although without much of a voice left, my dad is on the road to recovery, and we are beyond grateful!
I want to give back and ensure The Royal Marsden can continue providing this incredible, life-saving care to other families facing the same reality. Every donation, big or small, will make a huge difference in helping them fund groundbreaking research, state-of-the-art equipment, and the very best care for cancer patients.
Thank you so much for your support – it truly means the world.
