Big Nacoa Walk 2024 · 4 May 2024 ·

1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help. Nacoa responds by providing a free, confidential telephone, 1-2-1 chat and email helpline.

Story

Many of you will know that I support a charity called Nacoa (The National Association for Children of Alcoholics) who are a Bristol based charity founded in 1990 that provide help and support for everyone affected by a parent’s drinking.

We believe that every child has the right to a happy childhood and to live a creative and meaningful life but when drink is the family secret they are more likely to experience family violence, neglect and other problems in their own homes.

I am walking 21 miles through the beautiful Peak District to raise vital funds for this charity, that currently receive no government funding.

Please donate if you can! 💙🙌🏼
