Hello, as many of you may know I started running in September 2024 by joining Bourton Road Runners Couch to 5K programme. When I first started running I could only manage 30 seconds and with the support of the club I can now run 5k, 10k and half marathons!

My lovely husband Madan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when our daughter Maya was just a few weeks old. So for over 20 years we have been navigating through a life with Diabetes. This illness can be very debilitating at times and without the fantastic work that Diabetes UK our lives would be very different.

I would therefore like to give back in the best way I feel I can by challenging myself in a way I never dreamed would be possible.

On the 25th of April 2027 I will be heading to London to take part in the biggest Marathon in the world - The London Marathon. What an absolute privilege to be able to combine my love for running with the honour to raise money for such an amazing charity. This will test me to my absolute limit! Running 26.2 miles is a distance that I have never run before so I do hope that I can do the race justice and raise money for a very worthy charity - Diabetes UK.
