Having gone through my own personal experiences and trauma growing up and working in education for over 10 years, I have decided to take on the challenge of running the London Marathon.

The London Marathon is more than just a physical challenge for me – it’s a way to stand up for children and young people who need support, hope, and a brighter future. I’ve chosen to raise money for The Children’s Society because their work resonates deeply with me and my past experiences.

Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and valued, yet too many grow up facing hardship, neglect, and overwhelming challenges beyond their control. The Children’s Society is there to listen and to give them the tools and confidence to build a better tomorrow. Their dedication to protecting vulnerable young people – whether providing mental health support, or offering a lifeline in moments of crisis – inspires me and gives meaning to every mile I will run.

Training for the marathon will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what so many children go through daily. Every step I take is a reminder of the resilience of those young people, and a promise to do what I can to help. By supporting me, you’re not just cheering me on – you’re helping to change lives, of those children in need. This will give them the chance they deserve to thrive.
