Help me in taking part in the Lord Mayor's appeal to support two important charities; Homewards, a project helping to end homelessness and MQ Mental Health Research, the UK's leading mental health charity dedicated to creating a world where mental illness is understood, effectively treated and ultimately prevented.

I am trying to raise a minimum of £500 by abseiling 215m from the Leadenhall Building on July 4th.

Both these charities are important to me as a mental health worker. Working full time as a psychotherapist, I see the devastation poor mental health can bring and how it can ultimately contribute to homelessness. This is an area that is under funded and under researched and which I would like to help change.

Being a member of the Fishmonger's Livery Company it has made it possible for me to become more involved in making a meaningful contribution to the wonderful work these charities undertake.
