Story
Hiking Moel Famau every day in May to raise awareness and dosh for The Domestic Abuse Safety Unit North Wales.
My little sister asked me this year if I would consider hiking for DASU. When your little sister asks you for something, as a big sister you just can’t say no.
This is a chapter of Aprils life, which in turn became a chapter in my whole families life. I never talked publicly about this, largely because it is my sister's story and I bear witness to it.
This charity was an incredible support for her when she needed it to be. As the month of May rolls on I’ll share more about what DASU do and how they supported April.
I’ll share more about the terrifying statistics that exist around domestic abuse in the hope that we can all have our eyes open, and have the courage to talk about the difficult things that exist in our society and be able to potentially help someone in an abuse situation by understanding what support there is available.
Thank you for reading and I appreciate all of your support
