Story
Meningitis is a devastating disease affecting millions of lives globally. Though with the right resources we can combat this. That’s why we’re working alongside the World Health Organisation and leading experts to tackle meningitis and septicaemia head-on – aiming to defeat them by 2030.
This upcoming year, I’m proud to be part of a group of passionate students taking on an extraordinary challenge: trekking the ancient Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu. This adventure is more than just a physical journey; it’s a journey of hope, determination, and unity against meningitis.
Every step and uphill climb shall be reminder of the people we’re doing this for: the children, families, and communities that are at risk of losing loved ones to this horrific disease. Meningitis is fast and deadly, but with your support, we can stop it.
Will a target of £4330, your donations will not only allow the completion of this challenge, but more importantly shall directly fund research, prevention, and treatment programs surrounding meningitis, helping us to eliminate it by 2030. No family should have to experience the pain of losing a loved one to something so preventable, and together, we can ensure that no one does.
Please consider donating today. Large or small, your contribution will make a huge difference – not just to the success of this trek, but to the lives of those who need it most.
Let’s climb towards a future without meningitis, one step at a time.
