Thanks for supporting my fundraising. Having previously completed 81 miles of training (thanks Strava!) for the Hackey Half Marathon in May, I have deferred this entry to Royal Parks Half in October 2025 so even more running for me, yaaaay.
Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them and after experiencing first hand how a diagnosis can affect a family, pounding the pavements for a few hours in support is the least I can do.
From now until October I will be rebuilding my 5k (slowly), working towards a 10k then onto a half-marathon distance. As someone who's version of cardio usually comes in a form of more than 3 reps on a lift, come along and watch for updates as this self-proclaimed cardio-avoider becomes a runner xox
