3 Peaks in 24 hours for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity

3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours · 27 June 2026

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

This year, a team of determined staff from The Mercian Trust are taking on one of the toughest endurance challenges in the UK — the National Three Peaks Challenge. In just 24 hours, we’ll be climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon). Three mountains, 23 miles on foot, over 3,000 metres of ascent, and endless snacks!

Every day, the staff at Birmingham Children’s Hospital care for thousands of children and their families with skill, compassion, and tireless dedication. Many of us within The Mercian Trust community have seen first-hand the life-changing work they do — from emergency treatment and specialist support to the kindness they show during some of the most difficult moments a family can face.

By supporting us, you’re helping the hospital continue to provide:

Life-saving medical treatment

Specialist equipment for young patients

Support services for families during long hospital stays

Research and innovation to improve children’s healthcare

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a genuine difference.
