Story
Deventually affects 1 in 3 people.
Out of my 4 grandparents 2 were affected and ultimately succumbed to this awful disease.
I myself have a Mild Cognitive Impairment, meaning my memory is not what it should be for a 30 year old. Although I can maintain my level of memory for now I'm at a greater risk of developing Dementia in later years.
In my wife's family nearly all her Nans siblings were affected by Alzheimers.
Dementia doesn't discriminate.
But with more funding, more research, more support maybe by the time my child reaches his adulthood there will be more answers, more help, more support.
To watch your grandmother's loose themselves is awful, watch them forget who you are, watch them get angry over not knowing what's going on. Simple things like going to the toilet, feeding themselves, cooking for themselves, all gone from them. Taken away.
Please help me raise more for such as important cause
