Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since conflict broke out in 2013, South Sudan is now the largest refugee crisis in Africa and the third largest in the world. The vast majority (over 83%) of those fleeing South Sudan are women and children, with children making up 65% of the total South Sudanese refugee population. They are survivors of violent attacks, sexual assault and in many cases, children have been separated from their parents and are travelling alone.
Roots Sudan raises funds to help build schools and libraries, run teacher training sessions, fund local hospitals, and more. This important role helps support and shape the future for the South Sudanese children, ensuring they are not forgotten during this conflict.
We hope that with the money raised we can help save the futures of the many young children and their families who are suffering.
