As a fan of the singer/songwriter MIKA, you're probably aware that he turns 43 this 18th August.

As we have done for a number of years, Mika Fan Club plans to mark the occasion by making a group donation to a charity via this JustGiving page.

This year, we have chosen the British Red Cross Disaster Fund.

When disaster strikes, whether it's a natural disaster or due to conflict, the Red Cross is there for people. In any emergency, every second counts and a donation to the Disaster Fund allows us to act fast to provide critical aid and relief.

Your donation to the Red Cross Disaster Fund this year will reach people impacted by all kinds of deadly disasters around the world, including:

⦁ Natural disasters, like earthquakes, tsunamis and storms. In Venezuela, after two strong earthquakes on 24 June, Red Cross teams are supporting the response as well as search and rescue operations.

⦁ Health emergencies, like the May 2026 Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

⦁ Armed conflict and violence.

⦁ Climate emergencies and extreme weather, like floods and drought.

⦁ Food insecurity and famine.

The international fan community of Mika Fan Club, whose membership transcends country borders just as the Red Cross does, has raised more than €35,000 for various charities over the years.
