Martin's fundraiser for Mental Health Matters

Martin Robson is raising money for Mental Health Matters

Running From Sheffield to Newcastle, to complete the GNR on 13/09/26

Mental Health Matters is a national charity with over 40 years of experience in delivering high-quality mental health services. We support 15,000 people every month to achieve their recovery goals, and we are always seeking to develop and expand our services to reach more people in need.

Story

This year, Im raising funds and awareness around mental health. As someone who has struggled with my own mental health for the majority of my adult life, I truly believe that charities like MHM play a crucial role in helping individuals navigate their own challenges.

I have chosen to run from a friend's house in Sheffield to Newcastle in the days leading up to the Great North Run (GNR) on September 13, 2026. The total distance is just over 126 miles, plus the additional 13 miles for the GNR itself. My goal is to run approximately 31 miles each day, arriving in Newcastle by Friday evening. I plan to take a recovery day on Saturday before completing the GNR on Sunday.

I am currently mapping out my route and planning my stopovers, and I will provide updates as soon as I have that information. Your support means everything; any donations would be greatly appreciated as I work towards my target of £2000. Together, we can make a difference for those who need it most.
