Story
Firstly, a huge thank you for visiting this page.
Supporting Wounded Veterans helps wounded veterans regain their independence through skiing. Since 2012, SWV has helped hundreds of veterans back into meaningful employment or occupation.
On the 4th of March 2024, veterans will take to the slopes to build their confidence and restore their self-belief. With challenge and camaraderie, they are empowered to successfully transition to civilian life.
Having been selected as a Ski Buddy, I shall be embarking on the SWV Ski Rehabilitation Week. My role will be to support one of 25 medically discharged veterans in the village of Klosters, Switzerland. I will be supporting my Veteran with all aspects of their week on and off the slopes in collaboration with the Adaptive Ski Instructor Team.
On their return home, veterans are supported by a mentor and the SWV employment, training, and occupation team to consider and plan their professional and personal goals outside of military life.
It is important for me to reiterate that this is NOT a holiday. This is a process designed to help wounded veterans regain their confidence, embark on the path to fitness, sustained wellbeing and then employment/occupation. This programme regularly sees over 90% of veterans maintain their, or find new, employment or occupation.
I am honoured to be involved in this incredible charity.

Delighted to have completed the Fan Dance Race (Winter Edition), a gruelling 24km SAS selection test march staged over Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. I was placed 4th in my category (load bearing, carrying 25Ib + food and water), completing the race in 4hrs 40 minutes.
Any donations would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks for your support!
