Story
At just 23, I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease stage 3b after discovering that my kidneys had significant damage. I have been under going tests and appointments for around a year now and the doctors are still investigating to find what the underlying cause is. It has completely changed the way I look at my health, my future and even everyday things like food, exercise and my lifestyle.
I never expected kidney disease to become such a huge part of my life, and I’ve experienced first-hand how frightening, isolating and overwhelming it can feel. But I’ve also realised how important awareness, support and research are for people living with kidney disease.
That’s why I’m fundraising for the National Kidney Federation. I want to turn something that has changed my life in a difficult way into something positive. I want to help raise awareness, support other people going through similar experiences and contribute towards giving kidney patients a stronger voice and better support.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, means so much to me. Thank you for helping me turn my experience into something that can hopefully make a difference to others. ❤️
