Story
For the past two years, Mia’s world has been filled with hospital stays, chemotherapy, broken bones, and birthdays spent recovering instead of celebrating. But on 1st July 2026, she rang the bell, a moment we had dreamed of for 25 long months. Now she’s turning 10, and we finally get to give her the birthday she’s missed out on for the last two years!
Mia’s bravery has carried her through challenges no child should face. While she still has osteoporosis treatments ahead, she’s stepping into this new chapter with strength and a smile. The Owen McVeigh Foundation helped our family create moments of joy when we needed them most, giving Mia memories that lifted her spirit.
That’s why Mia has chosen to dedicate her birthday to fundraising, so other children walking similar paths can feel the same support, and happiness she did.
