Story
This February, our amazing Mia is taking on the 99k for Canines challenge to raise money for Dogs Trust and she’s already reached 80km! She’s so close to her 99km target and we couldn’t be prouder of her determination.
I was originally just going to ask close family to sponsor her, but if anyone else would like to support her, she would be absolutely over the moon.
Anyone who knows us as a family will understand just how much Dogs Trust means to us.
After losing my sister Sherry and our beloved dog Trigger to cancer, I fell into a deep depression and was unable to work. Eventually, I decided to follow my heart and began working for Dogs Trust. That decision helped me find myself again during one of the darkest periods of my life.
Then, thanks to Dogs Trust once more, they introduced us to our shining light Roxy.
Roxy changed everything for us. She brought joy back into our home and light into our lives. She has been especially important for Mia. Mia is autistic and experiences extreme anxiety, which can sometimes feel overwhelming for her. But Roxy is always there offering comfort, calm and unconditional love.
That’s why Mia wants to raise money for Dogs Trust, to say thank you. Thank you for the dogs they rescue, the families they support, and for bringing Roxy into our lives when we needed her most.
If you’d like to sponsor Mia and support Dogs Trust, we would be so grateful 💛🐶
