In May 2026, Mike, our much loved husband and father, took his own life. Together, as a family, Mum, Matthew and I wanted to honour his memory by supporting a cause that is helping to prevent other families from experiencing the same heartbreak.

He lived with depression for over a decade. Every day he faced a battle that many people never saw, yet he continued to meet the world with the same kindness, gentleness and care for others that so many people remember him for. His willingness to support those around him touched so many lives, and we know he would want us to continue helping others in his memory.

That is why we have chosen to raise money for the Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team, an incredible charity that patrols Beachy Head 365 days a year. Beachy Head is tragically one of the most well-known suicide spots in England, and the chaplaincy team provides vital support to people experiencing crisis, helping to save lives and offer hope when it is needed most.

This fundraiser has been set up for anyone wishing to make a donation or leave a tribute in Mike’s memory, but it won't stop there. Throughout the year, our family will be taking on several fundraising challenges, with more details to follow.
