In February 2024 my mum was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an incurable grade 4 cancer in the brain. Travelling to and from the hospital five days a week for six weeks for mum to undergo treatment enabled us to build quite a relationship with many different departments at UCLH, in particular the radiotherapy team. Whilst navigating such a tragic time in our lives, the staff at the hospital have been absolutely amazing and it made our decision very easy when wanting to give something back for all their help.
