Welcome to my fundraising page for Team Esperanza!

This is my 8th consecutive year as a marathon fundraiser for Esperanza Health Centers! Last year, you helped me raise over $5,100 for Team Esperanza. This year, I am running 2 marathons for Team Esperanza: the 2024 Bank of America Boston Marathon on April 15; and the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Esperanza opened its second facility on its Brighton Park Campus, which will allow Esperanza to expand its services and make an even greater impact to the community. Double the footprint, double the marathons!

Entering my seventh year on the board this summer, and fifth year as Board Chair, I am truly blessed to have watched this organization continue to grow and thrive. The communities that Esperanza serves are near and dear to my heart, as I am a native of Chicago's southwest side. Today, with five sites and a team of almost 300 dedicated staff, Esperanza is one of the most respected Federally Qualified Health Centers in the nation, delivering accessible, bilingual care to more than 25,000 patients every year. From adult medicine, women's health and pediatrics to behavioral health services and wellness programs, Esperanza meets the needs of its community with innovation and a sterling commitment to quality. Esperanza today is recognized as a National Quality Leader by the Health Resources and Service Administration, placing us in the top 3% of health centers nationally, and top two in Illinois.
