Story
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs.
We are walking across Cyprus from Salamis in the east to Paphos on the west coast, following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul, who came to Cyprus with St. Barnabas in the 1st century AD on his first missionary journey. We do not know the exact route that he took but we have mapped a route which takes us through three 1st century cities, Kition (in Larnaca), Amathus (Limassol) and Kourion. Salamis and Paphos were also important cities in Cyprus at that time.
On our journey, we will be joined by other pilgrims, including Adrian’s loyal dog, Caleb!
We are walking this journey as a pilgrimage but we also, importantly, want to raise money for two charities, Macmillan Cancer Support being one of them. Both of us have close experience of cancer through friends who have suffered with the disease. Michael had his own cancer battle five years ago but was cured through the excellent medical care he received in Bristol and Bath.
