Story
I am taking part in the 2025 TCS London Marathon to raise money for Bone Cancer Research Trust. Please support me today!
With many bone tumours, including osteosarcoma, the majority of patients have to undergo life changing surgery alongside horrible chemotherapy. If this isn’t bad enough, for 80% of patients this gruelling procedure doesn’t work and the cancer spreads where your chances of survival drop further. BCRT is funding life changing research to try and stop the cancer from spreading increasing survival rates, as well as supporting patients and families through this terrible time. This charity does tangible work within the bone cancer field and is striving to make a real difference… All without any government funding. They rely 100% on people like you supporting their work through donations.
I am running the marathon to give back to a charity that has supported me during my PhD and to raise money to contribute in some way to making a difference in finding kinder, more effective treatments. I do believe a lot of cancers will be cured but the rarer cancers need your help to achieve this. So please donate today!
Training has officially started. I will be breaking my fear of mornings to get some sunlight, running in between experiments and treating myself to a long run to a pub on Sundays. I will try post some updates here so follow along.
