For the last two years, I've had the privilege of serving as a Non Executive Director for Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland), an Edinburgh based charity offering practical and emotional support to those struggling due to childbirth, pregnancy, miscarriage or infertility. (https://counsellingandcare.co.uk/) Their services include....

1. Baby Bank - Delivering supplies for newborns and young children to families in around Edinburgh.

2. Counselling Service - For men and women who might be struggling with emotional issues around infertility, pregnancy, miscarriage, birth issues, caring for a newborn and parenthood in general.

In a bid to help fund-raise for this small and excellent local charity, on Sunday 13th October 2024, I'll be abseiling off the Fourth Bridge. I'm swapping my board hat for a near pointless hard hat, that'll provide little to (no)tional protection, as I nervously lower 165 ft down from the Forth Bridge! (Reminder to self - Must check train times! :)

I'm taking on this challenge knowing that it supports a small hard working operational team, complimented with professional counselors and supported by the kindest volunteers (of which more are welcome!).
