Story
I have signed up and have been actively training for an Ironman 70.3 in Muscat.
The decision was made on a bit of a mad moment 13 weeks ago. I am so proud I did it though. This has been something on my radar for some time. I’ve finally pulled the trigger !
I will be doing this for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The challenge:
🏊♂️1.9km Swim open water
🚴♂️90km Bike through the oman mountains
🏃♂️ 21km Run to finish
All one after the other 🤘
I’m doing this to challenge myself and see what I’m made of, but more importantly for something bigger than me, for an incredible human Natalie Shaw , your family, my famoly and the MND Association.
I’ve never done a triathlon. Never done a marathon. I’ve biked here and there but nothing this crazy. Choosing to do Oman when I spent 4 weeks in the UK for Xmas was something I didn’t think of at the time 🤣
I’ve had to test myself physically, mentally, and socially. I’m proud of what I’ve done over te last 11 weeks just the last few touches now.
Lots of humbling moments over the past 13 weeks, I thought I could swim until it was open water non stop for 1.9km but I’ve got there with a couple of extra lessons 🤣🏊♂️
£10 for every mile. This is my pledge
Please if you can donate anything to keep me going on these last few days of training this would be amazing 👏👏
Thank you so much for the support, it’ll all be worth it when I cross that finish line and say thank you 👏
