Story
On the 30th December 2024 we lost our lovely boy, Prior. He was a racing greyhound in Ireland and was rescued by the Glasgow-based Greyhound Awareness League (GAL). We're so grateful to them for bringing us together and they do the same thing every day for others. Don't worry too much about donating 5-figure sums. 4-figures would be enough if that's all you can afford.
If you want a new best friend in your life, check out the dogs on their website: https://www.galhounds.org.uk/.
The Greyhound Awareness League (GAL) is a registered charity organisation founded in 1998.
Run entirely by volunteers, they are dedicated to rescuing and re-homing ex-racing, ex-working, abandoned greyhounds and lurchers. They work with the public to dispel many of the myths surrounding these beautiful and gentle dogs.
They are entirely volunteer run, so their enthusiastic team of hound-loving helpers balance everything from vet appointments and behavioural issues, to fundraising, shop orders, events, and accounting.
Like most animal rescue charities, GAL relies upon the generosity of the public to continue its work. GAL does not employ any staff. Therefore, every penny contributed to the charity is re-invested into their efforts to rescue and rehome greyhounds and lurchers throughout Scotland.
